Over the past few months I’ve been focusing deeply on the subject of creativity. As a designer, my favorite moments are when I find an elegant solution to a particular problem. Also, I feel compelled to be creative day in, day out – both for my own enjoyment and because I always want to be delivering the best possible product for our clients. So I started investigating – are there techniques that are supported by scientific evidence that might encourage creativity?

I suspect I am not alone in trying to figure that out, so thought it worth sharing what I’d found so far. I’m hoping that this article, published recently in UX Magazine, spurs a conversation about how we all find creativity when we need it. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
